Archive of Our Own Challenge!

Archive of Our Own, the archive in development by the Organization for Transformative Works, is now in Open Beta!

This is an organization that is supporting fanfiction as legitimate transformative works, which is very important in the hazy legal climate of fanworks. Please go check them out!

And while the archive still has limited membership during their Beta period, if you do not yet have an account there, we have five invite codes to give away!

But there’s a catch...

As we are a writing workshop, we’re going to require a bit of writing from you. The first five members -- and you must be either a member of There and Back or a non-member who is an active participant (e.g. active participants who do not have LJ-accounts) -- to write a drabble or ficlet featuring archives, academia, research, reading, writing, and/or creative freedom will receive an invite code! Any fandom, any character(s) of your choosing, it only needs to contain one of the listed topics.

Only one invite will be given per person. You must put your drabble in a separate post with “Archive of Our Own Challenge” in the title. Only reply in the comments of this post with questions, don’t post your drabbles in the comments. The only exception is active participants who do not have an LJ-account. They may post their drabble in the comments of this post, then either Juno or I will create a post for their drabble.
